Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin is the Director of Puncak Geliga Capital Sdn Bhd and former Joint Group Executive Chairman of Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd. He is also a member of the Kuala Lumpur Business Club (KLBC).
After over a decade at the helm of the Naza Group of Companies, he announced his departure from the Group on 22 May 2023.
As the Joint Group Executive Chairman / CEO of the Naza Group of Companies, Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin managed a portfolio of companies, which spans from Automotive businesses to diversified industries ranging from property, insurance, finance, retail, plantation, transport and logistics, construction, as well as engineering.
Under his stewardship, the Naza brand has solidified its mark as the preferred choice for Malaysians in providing premium lifestyle products and services. Datuk Wira SM Faisal marked his first major contribution to the Naza Group in 2000 when he founded the partnership with BRABUS to distribute its range of vehicles in Malaysia. In 2009, he secured the Ferrari and Maserati dealerships to offer the largest and complete 4S facilities outside of Italy. He also notably acquired the distributorship rights for Chevrolet, Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia and Indian Motorcycle in Malaysia. Under his stewardship, Naza also owns a Mercedes-Benz dealership and is currently the official distributor for Suzuki cars in Malaysia.
Outside the automotive and motor vehicle industries, Datuk Wira SM Faisal has also helmed the Naza Group to carve its presence as an established player in property development through its subsidiary, Naza TTDI. As the developer of the acclaimed township of Taman Tun Dr Ismail in Kuala Lumpur, Naza TTDI has completed over 14,000 residential dan commercial units within the township.
Naza TTDI has also completed the iconic RM4 billion Naza Tower @ Platinum Park, a world-class high-end integrated residential and commercial development in the prestigious Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
Under Datuk Wira SM Faisal’s leadership, Naza TTDI embarked on a momentous project for the government of Malaysia which was the creation and development of the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in the northern suburb of Kuala Lumpur.
MITEC has a built-up area of 1.5 million square feet, and it is Malaysia’s largest exhibition space with 11 halls and can accommodate up to 47,700 visitors at a time. The project was completed in November 2016 and officially handed over to the government in August 2017.
